Introduction
Web Centered Image Management Tool
ePhotoAlbum is an image management tool designed to allow the user to collect and acquire large quantities of images into a single HTML based photo album. Unlike other image browsing software which lets users publish simple, flat web pages, ePhotoAlbum allows images to be organized into complex hierarchies of web pages. Even if a user does not want to publish images to the internet, the web based format is ideal for viewing and organizing images locally.
Integrated Web Browser
Once inserted into an album, images are instantly viewable with the integrated web browser.
Integrated Smart Web Publishing
ePhotoAlbum has an integrated web publishing feature which can publish the photo album to a web server. ePhotoAlbum tracks new and changed files, and only uploads the files it needs to. It also tracks deleted file and removes them from the web server.
File Selection Views
ePhotoAlbum contains both a configurable thumbnail view, and a Windows Explorer style view for selecting images for insertion into the photo album.
Twain Support
ePhotoAlbum can insert images directly from TWAIN devices such as scanners and digital cameras.
Image Operations
Images in ePhotoAlbum can be resized, and cropped. The brightness and contrast of the image can also be adjusted.
Annotation
ePhotoAlbum allows users to add unlimited text for each image which gives the user the power to create detailed narratives of the events contained in the photo album.
Cascading Properties
One of the most powerful features of ePhotoAlbum is it's use of cascading properties. Cascading properties means that the properties of an item in the photo album are inherited by the children of that item, unless the properties of the children are explicitly modified. This allows the user to change the properties of hundreds of pages with just a few clicks of the mouse. These properties include image size, thumbnail size, fonts, and colors just to name a few.
