Image Size and Quality

The property sheet has two identical image property pages. One page controls the image size and quality of the images, and the other controls the images size and quality of the thumbnail images.
Image Area - The image area controls the size of the image. Because these properties may apply to many image because of cascading properties, a specific width and hand cannot be specified. By specifying image area, all images can be scaled similarly independent of their orientation. Next to the image area is displayed the width and height assuming a typical aspect ratio.
JPEG Quality - When images are added to the photo album, they are converted to JPEG to reduce their size for upload to the internet. JPEG quality determines the clarity of the images as well as the size of the image. The better the quality, the larger the file size. The default quality setting is 75% of full quality. This setting gives good image quality with a reasonable file size. Be careful when increasing the quality as it can dramatically increase file size.
